Make Your Own Tornado

What you need to make your own tornado is water, food coloring, (2) 2 liter bottles, and a bottle connector.

First, fill up one of the water bottles until it is almost at the top but not all the way.  Put in a few drops of the desired food coloring and add glitter if you would like.  Once the bottle is full of water screw the bottle connector to the top of the bottle and then take the empty bottle and screw it on the other side of the connector so that both bottles are connected by the heads.

One the bottles are connected, quickly turn it over and spin the water in the top bottle fast and vigorously then set it flat on the table.  As the water spins and starts to drain into the bottom bottle, a vortex will begin to for illustrating the way a tornado comes down from the sky and moves.
