Visit this Chinese Calligraphy Site and read through to get an idea of how Chinese Calligraphy works.

(You will need a thick black marker for this portion of the Web Quest)

 

  1. Write a short story inserting the Chinese characters from the Chinese Calligraphy Site.
    1. Copy a few characters on scratch paper to practice this art.
    2. Then write your story.
    3. Label your characters

     

  2. Write your Birth Date (Month and Day) using Chinese characters using the Chinese Calligraphy Site.
    1. Remember to read carefully about writing numbers larger than 10!!
    2. Label your characters so others can read them.

     

  3. If you really want a challenge try writing your name in Chinese Calligraphy!

    2. Search for your name in "Girl names in Chinese" or "Boy names in Chinese"
    3. Write your First Name (and middle name if you can find it).
    4. Label your characters.
