 I designed this WebQuest to go along with my Interdisciplinary Unit on TRAVEL for my 7th Grade Social Studies Class.

 

Here are some suggestions about how to involve families:

1.  Let families know what the WebQuest is and how to run it.

2. Include Family activities for each country (like cooking, reading, looking at the National Geographic website, etc.)

3.  Assign the WebQuest as a partner activity (it could be done with a friend, sibling, or parent)

 

 

These are some of the Illinois Social Studies standards I used in preparing my WebQuest:

A. Compare characteristics of culture as reflected in language, literature, the arts, traditions and institutions.

18.A.3 Explain how language, literature, the arts, architecture and traditions contribute to the development and transmission of culture.

18.B.3b  Explain how social institutions con­tribute to the development and transmission of culture.
