Task

Today you get to be Inventors.  Think of a problem in your life or in the world.  How can you fix it? Over the next week, we will be creating inventions to fix a problem.  Next week we will have an Invention Convention where all the Inventors will present their inventions to the class.

You will be working in pairs which I have already picked.  You and your partner will choose to create an invention together or work on separate inventions.  (If you choose to create separate inventions, you will still sit next to your partner and work together to think of ideas and help the other when needed.)

During the 5th Grade Invention Convention you will:

• Think like an inventor

• Participate in and Appreciate the process of Inventing

• Work with classmates to create an Invention

• Present a final project to the class
