This website provided helpful information on Aphrodite’s involvement in the

 Trojan War and also about her affair with Ares.

Cotterell, Arthur.  Classical Mythology.  New York:  Lorenz Books, 1999.

            This book contains information on many different Gods and Goddesses

            in classical Greek mythology.  It was useful for general information on the

            two  goddesses as well as providing a good source of artwork representing 

           Aphrodite, Hera, and also many other gods and goddesses.

This website was pretty informative on Hera.  It is very similar to a

Website that I used for Aphrodite.  Both websites were very helpful,

although they contained information that clashed with other sources.

King, Ursula.  Women in the World’s Religions:  Past and Present.  New 

            York:  Paragon House, 1987.

            This book provided information on many women who have been

            Well-known in religion.  It also gave some general information on

            Aphrodite and Hera and how they influenced greek mythology.

This website provided information about Aphrodite’s birth, family, powers,

and just about any other information known about her.  It was very helpful,

although some of the information conflicted with several other sources about

Aphrodite.

            This website was very helpful in providing information about Aphrodite. 

             The facts about Aphrodite that I found on this site were all very similar to

             the information I had found in other sources.

Morford, Mark P.O.  Classical Mythology, Fourth Edition.  New York: 

             Longman Publishing Group, 1991.

            This book was somewhat helpful for finding general information on both

             Goddesses, as well as their husbands.

Powell, Barry B.  Classical Myth.  New Jersey:  Prentice Hall, 1995.

            This book was excellent at providing general information about both

             goddesses, as well as providing many of the legendary stories of each

             goddess.

Slater, John E.  The Glory of Hera:  Greek Mythology and the Greek Family. Boston: Beacon Press, 1968.                                                                                             

           This book was helpful for finding a wide range of information about

           Hera.                                                                                                                                                                                  

Sosa, Sylvia.  Hera:  The First Greek Goddess.  [online] Available:

          This website was very informative on Hera.  It had many facts about Hera and

            her life as a goddess.
