  • Welcome to Handbuilt Clay
    The course will explore some of the various techniques used in the construction of hand built clay forms.  In handbuilt clay you will learn how to successfully join the clay together to construct clay objects.  We will also explore various aspects of contemporary and sculptural attitudes found in clay.  The course offers you the fascinating discovery of the material itself, clay, its formation in the earth, and what comprises its elements.  You will discover how to manipulate the clay through a process from beginning exploration of a form through the firing to a final product.  In this course you will gain knowledge of the ceramic medium and its significance to the world of art. You will learn to manipulate the clay.  You will become aware of your own artistic growth, creativity and development.
