You will keep a sketchbook in the class.  In the sketchbook, record lecture notes and new vocabulary words, jot down your thought processes as you work through the projects, and sketch your projects.  Include other valuable information such as comments that will tell me what you feel is valuable and what is not so valuable about each project.   It is your responsibility to keep a daily record of your comments. 

Goal:  the goal of the sketchbook are to help students reflect on their personal art making skills and ideas.  It should be considered a private discussion between you and me.

Throughout the course, I will note your progress in your sketchbook.  Notations in the sketchbook are generally positive and supportive.  Suggestions are given to help you think about ways to improve performance and consequently, the grade in the course.
