Welcome!  This course in ceramics explores the various techniques used in the construction of wheel thrown clay forms.  In wheel thrown clay you will learn how to successfully manipulate the clay on the potter's wheel.  We will also explore some of the various forms of traditional through contemporary ceramics.  The course offers you the fascinating discovery of the material itself, clay, its formation in the earth, and what comprises its elements.  You will discover how to manipulate the clay through a process from the beginning exploration of form through the firing to a final product.  To do this we will learn the techniques, tools and processes needed to make your own ceramic objects.

In this course you will gain knowledge of the ceramic medium  and you will become aware of your own artistic growth and development.      Top
