Assignment: Library-based research

Monday, December 5^th:

Task: Following the advice and suggestions provided by the librarian, find a scholarly article (full-text) that is about Nervous Conditions. Print-out or make a copy of the article and consult with me before the end of class.

Wednesday, December 7^th:

Assignment: Submit a full, bibliographic citation for the article following MLA guidelines. Under the citation, compose a short annotation of the text (3-5 sentences) that describes the main argument of the essay. Turn this in attached to the article. Due in class on Wednesday.

Thursday, December 8^th:

I will return the essay to you, along with the citation, on Thursday. Please make note of any suggestions or corrections so that you can address them in your final. Re-read the essay and highlight sentences that you might be able to use in composing your essay on Nervous Conditions for the final exam.

Finals week

Please hand the essay in along with your final exam when you turn it in. Note that your Works Cited (Part IV of the exam) will need to include a full citation for the source. The exam is due on or before Tuesday, December 13^th.
