Guidelines for preparing a new course for Integrated Studies….

Last updated on February 6, 2006.

  1. Contact the relevant shepherd for the rubric to discuss the proposal.

  2. Prepare your course, keeping in mind the criteria or guidelines for the rubric.

  3. Consult with your department about how often you will be able to offer the course.

  4. Prepare your course proposal, using the new course proposal form (please note that it now includes a question about assessment and program goals): New course proposal form.

  5. Submit the proposal, with syllabus and any additional supporting documents, to the rubric shepherd. The shepherd will review the proposal, and if it is ready for submission, sponsor it in front of the curriculum committee for consideration. The current chair of the Curriculum Committee is David Suda, davids@monm.edu

  6. Please keep in mind that if you would like to offer a course in the next academic year, your proposal should be reviewed by the curriculum committee by the middle of February.
